4 everything bagels

1/4 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

1 teaspoon poppy seeds

1 teaspoon coarse sea salt (or to taste)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon dried dill (optional)

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for spice)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Slice the Bagels: Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each everything bagel into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick. You can also cut them into wedges if you prefer chip shapes.

      Prepare the Oil Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sea salt, black pepper, and optional spices (dill and crushed red pepper flakes). Stir well to create a seasoned oil mixture.

        Coat the Bagel Slices: Place the sliced bagels in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the seasoned olive oil mixture over the bagel slices, tossing them gently until all pieces are well coated.

          Arrange on Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay the bagel slices in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap to allow for even crisping.

            Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bagel chips are golden brown and crispy. Make sure to turn the bagel chips halfway through the baking time to achieve even browning.

              Cool and Store: Once baked, remove from the oven and let the chips cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
