Ingredients

2 oz fresh pineapple juice

1 oz fresh lime juice

1.5 oz tequila (preferably silver)

0.5 oz agave syrup (adjust to taste)

1-2 slices fresh serrano pepper (adjust based on heat preference)

1 oz Cointreau or triple sec

Ice cubes

Lime wedge and chili salt for rimming the glass

Pineapple slice and additional serrano pepper for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Glass: Start by rimming your margarita glass with a lime wedge and dip it in chili salt to add a zesty kick.

Muddle the Serrano: In a cocktail shaker, place the serrano pepper slices. Use a muddler to gently press down to release the heat and flavor. Be careful not to over-muddle, as this can make the drink too spicy.

Mix the Ingredients: Add fresh pineapple juice, lime juice, tequila, Cointreau, and agave syrup into the shaker with the muddled pepper. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.

Shake It Up: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled and mixed.

Strain and Serve: Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice and strain the mixture into the glass over the ice, allowing any bits of serrano pepper to remain in the shaker.

Garnish: Add a slice of pineapple and a thin slice of serrano pepper on the rim for an attractive presentation.

Enjoy: Sip your spicy serrano pineapple margarita and enjoy the perfect balance of sweet and spicy!
