1 block firm tofu (14 oz), pressed and drained

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for frying)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for spice level)

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded carrots

1 cup red cabbage, thinly sliced

1/2 cup cucumber, julienned

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 head of butter lettuce or romaine, leaves separated

Instructions
 

Prepare the Tofu: Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

    Coat the Tofu: In a mixing bowl, gently toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.

      Fry the Tofu: Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes in a single layer, taking care not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Once done, remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

        Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic until well combined.

          Toss the Tofu: Pour the sauce over the crispy tofu while it’s still warm, gently tossing to coat each piece.
