Ingredients

For the Crust:

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cream Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup fresh orange juice (from about 2 oranges)

Zest of 1 orange

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp salt

For the Topping:

1 cup fresh orange segments (optional)

Extra orange zest for garnishing

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir well until all crumbs are evenly coated.

        - Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a lined 9x9 inch baking pan to create an even layer. Bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

          Make the Cream Filling:

            - In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.

              - Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until thoroughly combined.

                - Pour in the heavy cream, fresh orange juice, orange zest, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until the mixture is light and fluffy, approximately 3-4 minutes.

                  Assemble the Bars:

                    - Once the crust is completely cooled, pour the orange cream filling over the crust, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

                      - If desired, sprinkle fresh orange segments on top for added texture and color.

                        - Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

                          Cut and Serve:

                            - Once set, carefully lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into squares or rectangles.

                              - Garnish with a sprinkle of orange zest before serving, if desired.

                                - Serve chilled and enjoy the refreshing, creamy goodness!
