1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

8 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

4 large eggs

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons finely ground espresso (or instant espresso powder)

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting and chocolate chips for extra indulgence

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal of the brownies later.

    Melt Chocolate and Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chopped bittersweet chocolate and unsalted butter. Stir constantly until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

      Mix Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Pour in the melted chocolate and butter mixture, mixing until well combined.

        Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until well incorporated.
