Ingredients

4 cups Reese’s Puffs cereal

1 cup smooth peanut butter

½ cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare Your Pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later. Lightly grease the parchment paper with non-stick spray or butter.

Heat the Mixture: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the smooth peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup). Stir frequently until the mixture is smooth and well combined, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.

Combine with Cereal: In a large mixing bowl, pour the Reese’s Puffs cereal. If you’re using mini marshmallows or chocolate chips, add them to the bowl as well. Pour the warm peanut butter mixture over the cereal and gently fold with a spatula until every piece is coated.

Transfer to Pan: Scoop the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Use a spatula or your hands (lightly greased) to press down firmly, making sure it’s compact.

Chill and Set: Let the mixture cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then transfer the bars to the refrigerator to set for at least 1 hour.

Cut and Serve: Once set, use the overhanging parchment to lift the bars from the pan. Cut into squares or rectangles with a sharp knife and enjoy your delicious Reese’s Puffs cereal bars!
