1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

3 large eggs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

For the Cream Cheese Swirl:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Prep the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

    Make the Brownie Batter: In a large mixing bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add in the pumpkin puree and mix until combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix!

      Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix until everything is well combined and smooth.

        Layer the Brownie and Cream Cheese Mixture: Pour half of the brownie batter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
