1 tablespoon lemon juice

3 tablespoons chia seeds

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

A pinch of salt

Prepare the Fruit: Begin by washing the peaches and strawberries thoroughly. Dice the peaches into small pieces, and hull the strawberries before slicing them.

    Cook the Fruit: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the diced peaches, sliced strawberries, honey (or maple syrup), lemon juice, and salt. Stir gently to mix, and bring the mixture to a simmer.

      Simmer and Mash: Let the fruit simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. As the fruit cooks, use a potato masher or the back of a spoon to gently mash the fruits to your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
