Ingredients

2 (15 oz) cans sliced peaches in syrup (or 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced)

1 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on peach sweetness)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped (optional)

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray for easy removal.

Prepare the Peaches: If using canned peaches, drain and reserve the syrup. Spread the peach slices evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. If using fresh peaches, toss them with sugar and cinnamon and arrange them in the dish.

Mix the Topping: In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix with the remaining 1 cup of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Stir until well blended.

Assemble the Dump Cake: Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches. Do not mix it in; it should remain on top.

Add the Butter: Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Make sure to cover as much of the dry mix as possible for optimal texture when baked. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the top.

Add Syrup (Optional): If desired, drizzle the reserved peach syrup over the whole dish to enhance the flavor and moisture.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peach juices are bubbling around the edges.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the cobbler from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top for an extra indulgent treat.
