Ingredients

For the Dough:

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast

½ tsp salt

½ cup whole milk, warmed (110°F)

2 large eggs

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling:

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 tsp ground cinnamon

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 ½ cups crushed Oreo cookies (about 12 cookies)

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups powdered sugar

1-2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Optional: crushed Oreo cookies for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

      - Add in the melted butter and eggs, mixing until combined.

        - Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

          Let the Dough Rise:

            - Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

              Prepare the Filling:

                - In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Set aside.

                  - Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle (14x20 inches).

                    - Spread the softened butter on the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the surface. Finally, sprinkle the crushed Oreo cookies on top.

                      Roll and Cut:

                        - Starting from one of the long edges, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams to seal.

                          - Cut the log into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.

                            Second Rise:

                              - Place the rolled cinnamon rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving some space between them. Cover with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

                                Bake:

                                  - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

                                    Make the Cream Cheese Frosting:

                                      - In a bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until creamy. If the frosting is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk to reach your desired consistency.

                                        Frost and Serve:

                                          - Once the rolls have cooled for about 10 minutes, generously spread the cream cheese frosting over the top. Sprinkle with extra crushed Oreo cookies if desired.

                                            Enjoy:

                                              - Serve warm and enjoy the delightful combination of free-flowing frosting, gooey cinnamon goodness, and crunchy Oreo bits!
