Ingredients

8 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)

1 cup fresh mint leaves, washed and dried

½ cup white chocolate chips

¼ teaspoon peppermint extract

Pinch of sea salt

Optional toppings: crushed nuts (e.g., pistachios or almonds), crushed candy canes, or cacao nibs

Instructions

Prepare the Mint: Finely chop the fresh mint leaves and set aside.

Melt the Dark Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the dark chocolate. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.

Flavor the Chocolate: Stir in the peppermint extract and half of the chopped mint leaves into the melted dark chocolate until well combined.

Spread the Mixture: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the dark chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly to about 1/4 inch thick.

Add the Toppings: While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the remaining chopped mint leaves evenly over the surface. If using, add your choice of optional toppings such as crushed nuts, candy canes, or cacao nibs.

Melt the White Chocolate: In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in the same way as the dark chocolate. Once melted, use a spoon or a piping bag to drizzle the white chocolate over the dark chocolate bark.

Cool the Bark: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours or until the chocolate has fully hardened.

Break and Serve: Once hardened, remove from the refrigerator. Break the bark into pieces using your hands and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt for an added flavor boost.

Store: Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
