Ingredients

12 oz cheese tortellini

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add Tomatoes: Toss in the cherry tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften and release their juices.

Create the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, followed by the Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Stir well and let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

Combine: Add the drained tortellini to the skillet. Gently toss them in the creamy sauce until they are fully coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the tortellini and mix until it's melted and well incorporated into the sauce.

Serve: Plate the tortellini in bowls, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and sprinkle with additional Parmesan if desired.
