Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb ground beef (80% lean)

1/2 cup diced onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup beef broth

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

1/2 cup pickles, chopped (for garnish)

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat if needed.

Sauté Aromatics: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onions become translucent and fragrant.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: Stir in the heavy cream, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

Add Cheese: Lower the heat and stir in the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheeses have melted and created a creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add in some reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

Combine: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the cheesy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish and Serve: Gently fold in the diced tomatoes. Serve hot, garnishing with chopped pickles and chives for added flavor and crunch.
