Ingredients

For the Burger Sliders:

1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

12 small slider buns (preferably brioche)

6 slices of cheddar cheese (optional)

1 cup baby arugula or lettuce

1 tomato, sliced

½ red onion, thinly sliced

For the Garlic Aioli:

½ cup mayonnaise

2-3 cloves garlic, minced (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Garlic Aioli: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Adjust garlic and seasoning to your liking. Refrigerate until ready to serve to allow flavors to meld.

Make the Burger Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined—avoid overworking the meat to keep the burgers juicy.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape them into small slider patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty (this helps them cook evenly and prevents puffing).

Cook the Sliders: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until browned and then flip. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt. Cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.

Toast the Buns: While the patties are cooking, lightly butter the inside of the slider buns and toast them on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

Assemble the Sliders: Spread a generous amount of garlic aioli on the bottom half of each toasted slider bun. Top with a patty, followed by arugula, a slice of tomato, and a few rings of red onion. Finally, place the top half of the bun on each slider.

Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter and serve them warm, accompanied by extra garlic aioli for dipping, and your favorite side dishes like fries or a fresh salad.
