Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti

2 cups marinara sauce

1 cup cooked meatballs (or vegetarian meatballs)

1 cup sliced black olives

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Edible googly eyes (for decoration)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In a large saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat. Stir in the garlic powder, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Add Meatballs: Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce, gently stirring to coat them evenly. Allow them to heat through for about an additional 5 minutes.

Combine Spaghetti and Sauce: Add the drained spaghetti to the saucepan, tossing to ensure the pasta is well-coated with the marinara and meatballs.

Cheesy Topping: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly over the top.

Bake It: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Spooky Decoration: Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Decorate with sliced black olives to create “creepy eyes” peeking out from the spaghetti. Add edible googly eyes on top for an extra spooky effect!

Serve: Garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve warm and enjoy your Spooky Spaghetti Nightmare!
