Ingredients

For the Steak Marinade:

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

Juice of 1 lemon

For the Shrimp Marinade:

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Juice of 1 lime

For Assembly:

Fresh vegetables (bell peppers, red onion, zucchini, cherry tomatoes), cut into 1-inch pieces

Metal or soaked wooden skewers

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and lemon juice. Add the cubed sirloin steak and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 4-6 hours to enhance flavor.

Marinate the Shrimp: In a separate bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, pepper, and lime juice. Add the shrimp and gently toss to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Prepare Vegetables: While the meat is marinating, prepare your vegetables. Chop the bell peppers, red onion, zucchini, and any other vegetables of your choice into 1-inch pieces, ready for skewering.

Assemble the Kabobs: On each skewer, alternate between pieces of the marinated steak, shrimp, and fresh vegetables. Create as many skewers as desired, leaving some space between each item for even cooking.

Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). If using wooden skewers, ensure they have been soaked in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.

Grill the Kabobs: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning them every few minutes to ensure even cooking. The steak should reach an internal temperature of 145°F for medium-rare, and the shrimp should turn pink and opaque.

Rest and Serve: Once cooked, remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. This helps redistribute the juices, making them even more flavorful. Serve hot with a side of rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad!
