Ingredients

4 fresh ears of corn, husked and cleaned

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Optional: Red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Instructions

Prepare the Basil Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, finely chopped basil leaves, lemon juice, lemon zest, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated. For an extra touch, you can mix in some grated Parmesan cheese for a savory twist.

Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C). If using a charcoal grill, wait until the coals are glowing and covered with ash.

Grill the Corn: Place the husked corn directly on the grill grates. Grill the corn for about 10-15 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes to evenly char all sides. The corn should be tender and have nice grill marks.

Baste with Basil Butter: During the last few minutes of grilling, use a brush to generously coat each ear of corn with the basil butter mixture. Allow the corn to grill for an additional minute or two to let the butter melt and infuse flavor.

Serve: Remove the corn from the grill and let it cool slightly. Drizzle any remaining basil butter over the corn, and if desired, sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese and a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra flavor.

Enjoy: Serve your grilled corn hot, and enjoy this delightful summertime treat!
