Ingredients

8 oz. noodles (your choice: egg noodles, udon, or spaghetti)

1 lb. flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, tossing them lightly with a bit of oil to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Steak: In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Season the sliced flank steak with salt and pepper. Once the butter is melted and sizzling, add the steak in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Allow it to melt, then add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Combine Ingredients: Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes to the skillet, stirring well to combine. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.

Toss in Noodles and Steak: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet along with the seared steak. Toss everything together for a few minutes, ensuring that the noodles are coated with the garlic butter sauce and the steak is well mixed.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat. Top with chopped green onions and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using. Serve hot and enjoy your Garlic Butter Steak Lightning Noodles!
