Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

1/3 cup maple syrup or honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup almond flour

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (dairy-free if needed)

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until well mixed.

Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the dark chocolate chips and nuts/coconut if using.

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal of the bars later.

Spread the Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing it out into an even layer.

Freeze: Place the baking dish in the freezer for 3-4 hours, or until set and firm.

Cut and Serve: Once frozen, remove the bars from the dish using the parchment paper. Cut into squares or bars as desired. Enjoy immediately or store extras in an airtight container in the freezer.

Optional Toppings: For a special treat, you can drizzle melted chocolate or a nut butter on top before serving.
