2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup mini marshmallows

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

1/4 cup peanut butter (optional for added flavor)

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, and sugar. Stir until well combined.

      Combine with Butter: Pour the melted butter over the dry mixture and stir until thoroughly combined, and the mixture resembles wet sand. If using, add in the peanut butter for a richer flavor.

        Create the Base: Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking dish, using either the back of a spatula or your hands to create an even layer.

          Layer Marshmallows and Chocolate: Evenly sprinkle half of the mini marshmallows and half of the chocolate chips over the crust. Press them down slightly to ensure they stick.

            Add Final Layer: Pour the remaining graham cracker mixture over the marshmallows and chocolate, patting it down gently. Then, top it with the remaining mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.

              Chill to Set: Refrigerate the bars for at least 2 hours, or until they are set and firm.
