Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

1/4 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)

1/2 cup whole milk, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Additional melted butter for brushing (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine the warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, and oregano. Mix well to evenly distribute the herbs.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter and warm milk. Once the yeast mixture is foamy, add it to the milk and butter mixture.

Form the Dough: Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour in the wet ingredients. Stir until a soft dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, gradually add a little more flour until it holds together.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape the Rolls: Once risen, punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide it into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball. Place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Second Rise: Cover the rolls again with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes, or until puffy.

Preheat the Oven: While the rolls are rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake: Once the rolls have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Brush with Butter: Optional - As soon as they come out of the oven, brush the tops of the rolls with additional melted butter for extra flavor and shine.

Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving warm with butter or your favorite dip.
