Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

½ cup buffalo sauce (plus extra for serving)

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Optional: fresh celery sticks and blue cheese dressing for serving

Instructions

Prep the Wings: Begin by patting the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This step is crucial for achieving a crunchy texture.

Seasoning Mix: In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

Coat the Wings: Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the seasoning mixture until well-coated. The baking powder will help crisp up the skin during cooking.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Wings: Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Ensure not to overcrowd the basket; you may need to work in batches. Air fry for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.

Buffalo Sauce Mixture: While the wings are cooking, prepare the buffalo sauce by mixing the melted butter and the buffalo sauce in a small bowl.

Coat and Serve: Once the wings are crisp and golden brown, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce mixture over the wings and toss gently until they are fully coated.

Final Touches: Allow the wings to rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the sauce adhere well.

Serve: Enjoy your spicy and crunchy buffalo wings with fresh celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
