Ingredients

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup honey

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt

Optional: Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Optional: Sandwich buns for serving (if making BBQ chicken sandwiches)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Start by placing the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.

Mix the Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Whisk until well blended.

Add Sauce to Chicken: Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crock pot, ensuring the chicken is well coated.

Cook: Cover the crock pot and set it to low heat. Cook for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken breasts and use two forks to shred the meat. Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot and mix it thoroughly with the sauce.

Serve: For a delicious meal, serve the BBQ chicken on sandwich buns and garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired. Pair it with coleslaw or corn on the side for a complete BBQ experience.

Store Leftovers: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
