Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each, skin-on for crispiness)

1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon cornstarch (for crispiness)

1 tablespoon vegetable oil or cooking spray

1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Salmon: In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Whisk until well combined.

Prepare the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it's well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Coat the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade for later), and sprinkle cornstarch evenly over the tops of the fillets. This will help achieve that extra crispiness.

Prepare for Air Frying: Lightly brush the air fryer basket with vegetable oil or spray with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the basket.

Air-Fry the Salmon: Cook the salmon in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is crispy on the outside and flakes easily with a fork.

Glaze the Salmon: While cooking, heat the reserved marinade in a small saucepan over medium heat until it thickens slightly (about 3-5 minutes). This will be your glaze.

Serve: Once the salmon is done, drizzle the thickened teriyaki glaze over the fillets. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
