1 package (8 ounces) fresh mozzarella balls, drained

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (Italian or panko)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Marinara sauce, for dipping

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

    Prepare the Breading Stations: Set up three shallow dishes. In the first dish, place the all-purpose flour. In the second dish, beat the eggs until smooth. In the third dish, combine the seasoned breadcrumbs, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

      Bread the Mozzarella: Working with one mozzarella ball at a time, dredge it in the flour, shaking off the excess. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess egg to drip off. Finally, roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated. Repeat this process for all mozzarella balls.

        Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the breaded mozzarella rounds on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced for proper baking.

          Spray for Crispiness: Lightly spray the tops of the mozzarella rounds with cooking spray or olive oil spray to help them achieve a golden brown and crispy texture.

            Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the mozzarella rounds are golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through baking for even crispiness.

              Serve: Once baked, remove the rounds from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
