Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon lemon zest

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Sauté the Salmon: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip them over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not burned.

Create the Creamy Base: Carefully pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then add the lemon zest, lemon juice, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Incorporate the Parmesan: Lower the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and fully incorporated into the sauce.

Combine with Salmon: Return the cooked salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the creamy garlic sauce over the top. Allow it to simmer gently for another minute to coat the salmon.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor!
