Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup sour cream

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1-2 tablespoons milk (for drizzling)

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon milk (or more, to achieve desired consistency)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and sour cream. Mix until thoroughly combined. Then, add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. If using nuts, fold them in gently. Be mindful not to over-mix.

Bake the Bars: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the Frosting: While the bars are cooling, beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until you achieve your desired frosting consistency.

Frost the Bliss Bars: Once the cinnamon roll bars are completely cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting generously over the top. Drizzle additional milk on top if desired for an extra touch.

Serve and Enjoy: Cut into squares and serve. These are perfect warm or cold, and you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
