Chili Lime Roasted Chickpeas

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Zest of 1 lime

Juice of 1 lime

Salt, to taste

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the Chickpeas: After rinsing the chickpeas, pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Removing excess moisture will help them get crispy in the oven.

      Season the Chickpeas: In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, lime zest, and lime juice. Mix to form a marinade.
