2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

2 cups broccoli florets, steamed

1 cup long-grain white rice, uncooked

2 ½ cups chicken broth

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

½ cup sour cream

1 cup cream of chicken soup (or make your own)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon paprika

1 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

2 tablespoons olive oil (if using breadcrumbs)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to preheat while you prepare the dish.

    Prepare the Rice: In a large mixing bowl, combine the uncooked long-grain white rice with the chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir well to distribute the seasonings through the rice.

      Combine Ingredients: In the same bowl, add the shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, sour cream, and cream of chicken soup. Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined.

        Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch (or equivalent) baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

          Add Cheesy Goodness: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the mixture, reserving a small handful for later.

            Breadcrumb Topping (Optional): If using breadcrumbs, toss them in a bowl with olive oil and then sprinkle them over the casserole, followed by the reserved cheddar cheese for an extra cheesy crust.
