Ingredients

8 large eggs

2 cups milk

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled

2 cups frozen Hash Browns, thawed

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup diced bell peppers (optional)

½ cup diced onions (optional)

Fresh chives or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.

Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from heat, crumble, and set aside.

Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.

Combine Ingredients: In your greased baking dish, layer the thawed hash browns evenly on the bottom. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top of the hash browns, followed by the diced bell peppers and onions (if using).

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the layer of bacon and vegetables.

Pour Egg Mixture: Slowly pour the egg mixture over the entire casserole, ensuring that it seeps through all the layers.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the center is set and the top is slightly golden.

Cool and Serve: Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired, then slice into squares and serve warm.
