For the Brownie Layer:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Cheesecake Layer:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.

    Prepare the Brownie Batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

      Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Set aside.

        Make the Cheesecake Layer: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and flour, mixing until well incorporated.

          Assemble the Brownies: Pour about two-thirds of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Spoon the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer, smoothing it out gently. Finally, drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top of the cheesecake layer. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl together the brownie batter and cheesecake for a marbled effect.

            Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).

              Cool & Slice: Remove from the oven and allow the brownies to cool at room temperature for about 20 minutes, then transfer them to the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours for better slicing.
