Ingredients

8 oz ramen noodles (fresh or dried)

1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch ginger, grated

1 cup bell peppers, sliced (red, yellow, or green)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon water

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the ramen: Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. If using fresh noodles, they typically take just a few minutes to cook. Drain and set aside.

Marinate the beef: In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

Sauté the vegetables: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the broccoli and bell peppers, stir-frying for about 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set them aside.

Cook the beef: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil and increase the heat to high. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Let it sear without stirring for about 1-2 minutes to develop a nice crust. Stir-fry the beef until it's just cooked through, about 3-4 more minutes.

Combine everything: Reduce the heat to medium. Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the beef. Add the cooked ramen noodles and oyster sauce. Mix well to combine all ingredients and heat through for another 2-3 minutes.

Thicken the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour it into the skillet and stir quickly for about 1 minute until the sauce has thickened slightly, coating everything nicely.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Beef and Broccoli Ramen Stir Fry!
