Ingredients

4 large whole wheat tortillas

1 cup cream cheese (regular or flavored)

1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced

1 medium carrot, julienned

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 cup baby spinach leaves

1/2 cup hummus

1 cup shredded turkey or chicken (optional)

1 avocado, sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh herbs (like dill or parsley) for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Workstation: Lay out all your ingredients on a clean surface, making assembly easier.

Spread the Cream Cheese: Take a tortilla and spread a generous layer of cream cheese over the entire surface, leaving a small border around the edges.

Layer the Vegetables: Place a handful of baby spinach in the center of the tortilla. Layer on the cucumber slices, julienned carrots, red bell pepper strips, and if desired, the shredded turkey or chicken for protein.

Add Avocado: Place a few slices of avocado on top of the veggies. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any fresh herbs you’re using to enhance the flavor.

Hummus Touch: Spread a thin layer of hummus on top of the filling before rolling to give it an extra tang.

Roll It Up: Carefully fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll tightly from the bottom up to form a wrap. Ensure all the fillings are snugly tucked in.

Slice and Serve: Using a sharp knife, slice the wrap into pinwheels or halves, depending on your preference. Arrange on a platter and garnish with extra herbs if desired.
