Ingredients

1 pre-made pastry shell (9 inches)

6 large eggs

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

6 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled

1/2 medium onion, finely chopped

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh chives, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until well combined. Add the grated cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped onion. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Quiche: Place the pre-made pastry shell in the air fryer basket. Pour the egg mixture into the pastry shell, making sure it's evenly distributed.

Cook the Quiche: Carefully place the basket in the air fryer and cook at 320°F (160°C) for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set and lightly browned on top. You can check for doneness with a toothpick—if it comes out clean, it’s done.

Cool and Serve: Once cooked, allow the quiche to cool for about 5-10 minutes. This will help it set further. Optionally, garnish with freshly chopped chives before slicing.

Enjoy: Serve warm or at room temperature. This quiche pairs wonderfully with a light salad or some roasted vegetables.
