Air Fryer Cherry Cream Cheese Croissants

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 cup cherry pie filling (or fresh cherries)

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

Prep the Crescent Dough: Open the can of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it. Separate the dough into triangles along the perforated lines.

    Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.

      Assemble the Croissants: On each crescent triangle, spread about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture near the wider end. Add about a teaspoon of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese.

        Roll the Croissants: Starting from the wider end, carefully roll the dough toward the pointed end to form a croissant shape. Pinch the ends to seal them well.

          Prepare for Air Frying: In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to create an egg wash. Brush the tops of the croissants with the egg wash to give them a golden color.

            Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.

              Air Fry the Croissants: Place the prepared croissants in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not touch. You may need to cook in batches. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown.
